David is one half of the brother-duo who brought Elixir to life. David has grown up around coffee, from the age of five he was eager to help out in his mother’s Fortitude Valley cafe – by the time he was 19 he was a bonafide cafe owner in his own right. Together with his brother Jason, the entrepreneurs quickly gained a reputation for exceptional service, gourmet coffee and exemplary attention to detail and this reputation allowed them to trade successfully in the CBD for four years, owning two cafes.
At 31 years old David has been driving the family business alongside brother Jason for the past six years, taking the brand to a national market and one which serves up to one million cups of coffee every month to Australians across the country.
This experience and hands on approach saw David hone his business skills, develop an enviable acumen and allowed him to take the next step in his coffee career – to continue a long family tradition and start his own coffee company, Elixir Coffee in 2009.
Over the past six years David has taken his vision for Elixir Coffee to new levels, delivering the business 100% year on year growth for the past three years alone. David’s knowledge of the industry, drive and business leadership abilities has fostered tight relationships with cafe owners around the country which has accounted for positive growth for the business and positioned Elixir Coffee as one of the country’s major players in an extremely competitive market place.
David’s drive, dedication and honest approach to business is integral to driving the business forward and the business has flourished in recent years with the creation of the Elixir Coffee wholesale division, which now boasts partners across the country.
David continues to strengthen corporate partnerships and takes a hand on approach in training and mentoring new wholesalers to ensure the Elixir Coffee brand is enjoyed perfectly by all consumers, thus having a knock on effect to partners’ businesses.
